We build with clarity, act with integrity, and always stay curious.

The Design Process

01. Initial Consultation

We begin with a conversation.

We’ll talk about your property, how you currently use it, what isn’t working, what you envision for the space, your aesthetic preferences, maintenance expectations, and priorities for the project.

This is also an opportunity to determine the appropriate scope of design services for your property.

02. Site Assessment

Next, we look closely at the property itself.

Solar exposure, drainage, soil, grade, existing vegetation, architecture, neighboring properties, views, privacy, and circulation all influence what will ultimately work.

Rather than designing around an image or trend, we design in response to the realities and opportunities of your site.

03. Concept Development

With an understanding of both your goals and your property, we begin developing the overall design.

This is where ideas about movement, outdoor living, planting, hardscape, privacy, functionality, and aesthetics begin to come together into one cohesive landscape.

04. Design Presentation

Your initial concept is presented during a one-hour design meeting.

We’ll walk through the plan together, explain the thinking behind key decisions, and discuss what you love, what you’d like to reconsider, and where the design can be refined.

05. Revisions

Your feedback becomes part of the process.

The design is refined and developed into the final plan, with 2–3 hours of revisions included in the full landscape design service.

06. Final Design

You’ll receive your completed landscape plan along with a final one-hour consultation.

We’ll review the finished design, discuss implementation, and make sure you understand how the individual elements come together.

07 — Bringing It to Life

A great plan should also give you a clear path forward.

Depending on the project, Ecorhythm can assist with plant procurement, select installation services, and recommendations or referrals for landscape contractors and other professionals needed to execute the design.
